Since we’ll be staying at home, we might as well order some delicious dishes to ensure this period isn’t synonymous with gloom. It’s also a way to support Marseille’s restaurateurs, who are heavily affected by these new measures. We'll kick off this series of "great tips" with a classic from the Phocaean city: fish, of course! Le Mistralou

Another institution you can't miss when passing by Place du 4 Septembre in the Endoume and Catalans neighborhood is Le Mistralou. With its visible storefront and terrace, it’s the place to enjoy fish and seafood when in the area. Just a stone's throw from Catalans beach, go there after a good swim to enjoy a seafood platter with friends. La Boîte à Sardines

Another great spot for seafood lovers is La Boîte à Sardines, with its elegant, colorful facade perched at the top of La Canebière, at Les Réformés, between Bd de la Libération and Franklin Roosevelt. No worries if you’re a regular, the establishment will remain open during this fortnight and will ensure service at midday and in the evening. A food truck will be parked in front during the entire period of restrictions. Sardines, monkfish, fresh shrimp, and other whiting are yours… Local delivery available.
