We open our new Marseilles chronicle with the places Marseillais want to keep jealously to themselves. Since we're pretty nice people, we've decided otherwise. Here are a few places to try out! We start with restaurants that deserve to be known!

MARSEILLE 5ÈME : LA TARRAILLETTE
This restaurant with exceptional traditional cuisine is located at 59 boulevard Eugène Pierre. In summer, you can enjoy a shady terrace, and in winter, a meal by the fire! If the location is top-notch, what can we say about the simply exquisite dishes? Fairly priced, with two menus - one at 28€, the other at 37€ - and à la carte dishes starting at 8.90€. Another nice surprise is the sommelier formula at 18€, which includes 4 glasses of wine selected to match your dishes. In short, this is our favorite! For reservations, call 04 91 48 91 48. MARSEILLE 7TH : LE BARON PERCHÉ
A neighborhood restaurant where the quality of produce and dishes is simply astounding: Le Baron Perché is an absolute must! Don't forget to reserve a table for the evening, as this word-of-mouth address is gaining more and more followers! Another tip: it's best to get there by public transport or cab, as parking is often difficult in this area. Le Baron Perché is at 45 rue Châteaubriand. A very cosy place, which will appeal to hipsters and vintage lovers alike! For reservations, call 09 51 24 89 52. Their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LeBaronPerche?fref=ts
MARSEILLE 1ER : PAULE ET KOPA
Right in the center of Marseille, on the famous Place aux huiles, you'd think there'd be nothing secret about it, but there is! The guidebooks won't let you in, there are plenty of locals, and the food is of the highest quality, with 100% Mediterranean specialties. So good, in fact, that we avoid giving the address to tourists for fear of being overrun. The restaurant has even been applauded for its quality by Monsieur François Simon (food critic and TV host). And the best part? The prices aren't even high! For reservations, call 04 91 33 26 03. Their website: http://www.restaurantpauleetkopa.fr/
