Evenings orchestrated by culinary artists in the splendid setting of the Old Port and the magic of this symbolic place will be the focus. The "4 aces" represent four ways to cook the same passion every evening throughout the summer.

MARSEILLE PROVENCE GASTRONOMY. ACT I.
This is the first event of the "Rendez-vous Marseille Provence Gastronomie 2020." Following the success of the 2019 edition, which attracted over 2 million visitors, the new season is off to a flying start. From July 6 to September 4, in front of the legendary Théâtre de la Criée, which temporarily returns to its original purpose as a fish market, an artistic and culinary experience awaits us. An original concept : 4 "culinary artists," 45 evenings of cooking, 4 hands. In other words, each evening (starting at 6:30 PM), a duo of chefs will blend their culinary approaches. All this in an exceptional venue with both cultural and culinary significance. What better way to spend these beautiful (and hot) Marseille summer nights? Behind the "4 aces" are personalities who all share a passion for cuisine: Georgiana Viou, Sarah Chougnet, Charlotte Baldaquin, Emmanuel Perrodin.
Every evening, our culinary virtuosos prepare delicious dishes to be enjoyed by the public on the terrace, in an open setting, facing the historical façade of this emblematic place in Marseille's history. Naturally, art is intertwined with cuisine, and vice versa. Both are perfectly combined, and it's possible to dine before and after a performance. The scenography designed to stage the cuisine is accompanied by a sound ambiance, notably provided by Radio Grenouille.
CREATIVE PROVENCAL CUISINE
On the culinary side, Provencal tradition takes center stage with local and authentic products. Of course, being by the sea, fish is essential. Sea bass, scorpion fish, red mullet, sardines, and all the well-known fish of Marseille are highlighted. The Provencal terroir is revisited daily, married with other flavors according to the tastes and moods of our taste artists. The creative aspect is significant, as dishes are created based on the heritage and current events of La Criée. The restaurant is an integral part of the theater's life, with opening hours based on the schedule.
The cuisine is seasonal and affordable (main dishes from 12 to 16 euros and desserts at 5 euros). The menu is crafted daily by the two head chefs, Arlette Fletcher and Charlotte Baldaquin. It includes five main dishes and three desserts.
