SHOPPING IN THE JOLIETTE NEIGHBORHOOD

We begin this circuit at Place de la Joliette with two shopping hubs: the Terrasses du Port and the Docks de Marseille. In the first shopping center, you'll find major brands like Zara and H&M, as well as some gems like Uniqlo or the Citadium concept store.

The second is geared towards higher-end shopping with concept stores and pop-up shops. The Docks offer you an architecturally rich environment where you can grab a coffee in one of its unique courtyards or choose to have lunch in one of Marseille's numerous restaurants.

Both benefit from fabulous architecture and a strategic location in the heart of Marseille's new business district, known as Euroméditerranée.

SHOPPING IN MARSEILLE : A PERFECT BLEND OF BOUTIQUES AND CULTURE

Take a cultural break a few streets away to admire and visit the Cathédrale de la Major. Stroll along the quay of the Port for a gourmet moment. Sit at one of the sunny terraces for a "p'tit jaune" before resuming your walk towards the Old Port and the legendary Canebière and its adjacent streets, making it a prime neighborhood for shopping. While Marseille offers plenty of places to stroll, the walk from the Joliette district to the Old Port is particularly enjoyable. Indeed, if you walk along the Fort Saint Jean, you'll have a view of the entire port and Notre Dame de la Garde. But for those looking to conserve their energy, you can also take public transportation to get there. The journey may be less scenic, but it will be faster!

Your day continues with the Capucins Market, exploring the Cours Julien, as well as shopping on Rue de Rome and many other surprises.

Finally, if this day hasn't exhausted you, why not take advantage of the Marseille nightlife? Bars abound, and you can enjoy the numerous terraces scattered throughout the city. There's no doubt you'll find something to your liking just steps from your hotel.
