Put into service in 1952, its surface area is 73 hectares with a productivity of 9 GWh/year. However, please note that until September 2019, the dam will only be accessible to the public on weekends and public holidays due to renovation works.

Hiking trail to discover the Roques Hautes path

If you enjoy hiking in Provence, this one won't disappoint you. Along this walk, you'll cross several meadows and enjoy a magnificent view of Sainte-Victoire, another hiking proposal as a bonus. It's suitable for families, and it will take you about 2.5 hours to cover the 6.5 km of this trail. The hike will start at the Bimont Dam and take you to discover the Roques Hautes path and its marble quarry. If you like this setting, why not consider renting a mountain bike to explore the trails marked by the General Council? For the more adventurous, consider renting hiking equipment to prepare for your excursions. In any case, always remember to bring water, sunscreen, and a hat to avoid sunstroke.
