In the historic heart of the city, a park that reveals the ancient remains of Marseille while offering a place for relaxation and walks.

It was during the construction works of the Centre Bourse in 1967 that significant archaeological remains were unearthed. Among these ancient treasures, one can admire the ancient ramparts, known as the "Wall of Crinas", as well as a gate of the city protected by two towers. These ramparts in pink limestone date back to the 3rd century BCE.

We also find many carved stones from the Saint Victor quarry. The most remarkable is the paved road leading to the center of the Phocaean city, which was then at the current Place de Lenche in Le Panier. This road came from Italy following the layout of the decumanus, which followed an East/West axis.

It is therefore a true open-air museum disguised as a park. An opportunity to immerse oneself in the life of Marseille during Roman times while enjoying a moment of relaxation just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
