Biking in Marseille

le_velo_marseille.jpg

Marseille isn't very cyclist-friendly, but it does offer some bike paths in the southern part of the city. Go for a ride on the bike paths along Avenue du Prado, Pierre Mendès, Promenade Georges Pompidou, Boulevard Michelet, Chemin du Roy d'Espagne, and Pointe Rouge… From Rue du Prado, head to Parc Borély and take a stroll through its gardens!

Subscribe and Grab a Bike:

24/7, hop on a bike, but first, you need a subscriber card! Once you've acquired it at https://abo-marseille.cyclocity.fr/subscribe/start (€5 per year, €1 per week), tap your card on the reader at the station or insert your ticket into the slot. Log in with your personal code. Click on "Take a bike" and choose your ride. Unlock it and hit the road! The first half-hour is free, then it's €1 per hour.

Returning the Bike:

To return the bike, head to one of the "Le Vélo" stations. Attach it to a docking point and make sure the light on the docking point illuminates.
