Itinerary for a seaside stroll

A stroll you'll remember! Of course, it's 2 hours and 15 minutes on paper, but that doesn't count the shopping stops at the various shops or the well-deserved gourmet breaks! It's a walk that will show you the most beautiful places to visit in Marseille, the must-sees, all while offering you breathtaking views! A small city hike to do, equipped with good shoes to avoid sore feet. We obviously recommend doing this walk with people who enjoy walking, so it's best not to bring children too young for such a long hike! For families with children, it's better to take the Petit Train de Marseille at the Old Port, which will take you up to Notre Dame de la Garde with a guided tour.

Start from the Old Port and walk to the Palais du Pharo, you can stop at the park to enjoy the landscape, the magnificent view, and the beautiful architecture of the Palace.

Then continue on to Plage des Catalans, Les Catalans is a very popular sandy beach located almost in the center of Marseille. A mythical address for all Marseillais.

Continue along the sea to Vallon des Auffes and the Monument aux Morts de l'armée d'Orient.

Still along the sea, head to Plage du Prophète. The Plage du Prophète is very busy in summer, day and night. Families come here in the morning and friends in the evening; it's a convivial place.

You can then take the Corniche JFK. Admire the view of the coast and the Frioul Islands from the Corniche. By car or on foot, it's an 8 km breathtaking promenade.
