If you're planning to visit Marseille for a week, we recommend dividing your time between exploring the city center and the coastline. In 3 days, you can visit the various must-see places in the city (museums, cathedrals, central squares…), but you can also venture out and explore the surrounding villages.

First day of a leisurely visit
For this first day, you can visit the Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde and then head to Les Terrasses du Port using public transportation. Take a stroll in Place de la Joliette and go see our beautiful MuCEM.
Second relaxed day
Take a stroll along Boulevard Perier, in the heart of the 8th arrondissement, passing through Malmousque and Vallon des Auffes.
Third day
Relax by Lake Peyrolles. Rent a bike and explore the island or find a cove to lounge by the clear water! Alternatively, you can experience the pristine nature of Verdon with Lake Sainte Croix or explore the charming shopping alleys of Hyères.
Fourth day
Enjoy the spectacular views from the top of the Route des Crêtes and take the opportunity to visit La Ciotat and Cassis.
Fifth day
Visit the calanques of Marseille and take a boat tour around the Frioul Islands. Also, consider visiting the famous Château d’If!
Last day
Head to Aix-en-Provence and take a stroll along the Allées Provençales.

First day of family stay
For the first day, you can go shopping at the Terrasses du Port and then visit the Mucem. Between shopping and culture, also enjoy the places to eat and take a snack break facing the sea!
We also suggest continuing your stroll along the Old Port, between cafes and restaurants, where you can stretch your legs along the quays. Take the Little Train to Notre Dame de la Garde, which alone is worth the trip and will offer you a breathtaking view of the entire city! It's also one of Marseille's most visited monuments. You'll easily understand why!
Second day
We recommend visiting the Vélodrome stadium and Borély Park, not forgetting our spacious Prado beaches! A day dedicated to relaxation. Don't forget to pack a picnic to fully enjoy Borély Park, one of Marseille's most beautiful gardens, with family or friends. It's the perfect day to plan outdoor activities! ☺
Third day
You've traveled with your family, so it's time to treat the kids! Today, take them on an adventure to the Wild West at the OK Corral amusement park, just 30 minutes from Marseille.
Alternatively, you can explore the Camargue and the bird park. There are some wonderful places to visit around Marseille!
Fourth day
Enjoy boat trips by boarding an express cruise from Pointe Rouge to Les Goudes. Once there, you can stroll through the narrow and authentic streets of one of Marseille's oldest fishing villages.
Fifth day
Discover Aix-en-Provence, the 100% Provençal town just a few kilometers from Marseille. Visit its city center and its quaint cobblestone streets. You can also make a detour to see the Sainte Victoire Dam.
Last day
We leave Marseille to visit Miramas and its cultural heritage. We end this day with a stroll along the edge of Berre L'Étang.

Third Day
Vacation isn't synonymous with letting go, that's why for your third day of visiting our region, a good hike to the calanques. Attention, good walking shoes recommended!
Fourth Day
Take a stroll along the beaches of L'Estaque and don't miss the calanque of Niolon. As you go up the Corniche Kennedy, you'll be able to enjoy the most beautiful beaches of Marseille.
Fifth Day
It's almost time for the big departure, but don't worry, Marseille Tourism still has many surprises in store for you! For this fifth day, we suggest a little picnic in the Verdon by the shores of Lake Sainte Croix. You can also visit the island of Porquerolles or Hyères according to your desires and the weather.
Last Day in Marseille with Friends
On your last day in Marseille, we offer you a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy : snorkeling, towed buoys, tree climbing, a visit to the Velodrome Stadium, ice skating, a skate park, jet ski rental… And if you feel like going out in Marseille, why not end your stay with an evening in a beach bar or nightclub?
